Cheese from White Rock Farm

Chef Rob in a blur of tasty cheese flavours.

Belize may not be famous for it’s cheeses, but there are a few places in this country where you can find really flavourful artisan cheeses made by people who are passionate about cheese. One such place is White Rock Farm run by Chris and Sue Harris. I went to visit them recently to see what their operation is about and to do some cheese tasting.

Chris is the cheese guy and he does have talent. All their cheeses that I tasted that day had great flavour, but they did have a Double Gloucester that was something special. You can definitely expect to hear more about White Rock Farm’s cheeses from me in the future.

By the way White Rock Farm also has livestock. I had a tour of the farm and the animals are well kept in natural surroundings and organically reared. This is the way a farm should look! Of course it is about food production, but these animals have a great life before they end up in my kitchen.
